Definition of Friend(s)...what's your's??
Update: Due to the growing interest in this post both here and on email, I thought I would rework the title of this entry to allow room for all interested to feel free to contribute their definition(s) of what they consider friend(s). Many thanks in advance for the interest :)
I stumbled upon this guy's very interesting blog while searching for some unique writing online. I like the way he defines a friend & how he rightfully refers to those mofos that consider themselves his buddies. have to say I love ur blog..have been one of those lurkers for a while now..
I noticed u linked up my kam project the Nchi yetu daily..lenga future career hopes bana u should be a private eye! U probly noticed i'm not yet done yet..which is why I havent announced it to the world..
Anyway..jus letting u know it will be down for a few days as i do some final maintence and miggrate to anaa webspace.(our lil secret!)

Akiey here is my def. of a friend.
"One who is always there to kick me when I falter, ocassioanlly piss them off , one that I call when I feel frustrated with life, whine about anything and everything under the sun which can be annoying , a friend who understands when I don't call for a week:-), one who I talk to when fear and uncertainity keep creeping .......and one who no matter what, is always, always there even when he is miles away!!!!Akiey you are the bestest of a friend .....:-)

Mshairi & all my wonderful buds, here's my definition of a friend:
A true friend: One that won't hesitate to jump over a cliff to spare my life coz they know I will most definitely take 6 bullets to the chest to save their life...even if it means ruining my favorite shirt:)) (plz, take this seriously).
A fake friend: won't waste words or time on this one, just a "fairweather pest"

Mine is that a friend is one who will love you even when you are being totally unbearable and unlovable. Friends such as these are hard to come by I know, but there you go!
my friends would probably tell me not to worry, to hung in there they'd come around in the morning...mofo's u just know
@ Mshairi: You bet, only a true friend would love you despite the misgivings. They really got to be something. Yep, they're hard to come by but I guess you keep them when they do.
I guess the "part funny, part serious" would say a bit about my personality & that of most of my close friends:)
@ Nicholas Gichu: I've been in your shoes before. As someone said 'with friends like those who needs enemies!?'. Hey, if they come in the morning, after you've sorted out your problems just let them know you don't speak English or Swa early in the a.m,lol!!!

"I have about 5 good friends, the rest are in the category of "motherfuckers that I just know." ...i stole that from the blog link you posted...its sooooo true!!!I've got my true friends, then i'v got pals, whom i can sit around with at a club and just have a laugh, the rest are acquantances!!! Simple hi will do, dont see the reason to have long discussions with them!..great blog by the way!! :)

That reminds me of a Philosophy prof I had back in undergrad. Told us that as each year of school passes, the smaller your crew gets. We thought he was talking "ish". Same thing applies in everyday life.
